Road full face vs dirt full face

RoadSealed visor, compact aerodynamics and controlled ventilation for sustained road speed
Dirt / motocrossPeak, extended chin bar and goggle opening for airflow and off-road debris

What to check before buying

  • A genuine DOT FMVSS 218 or ECE 22.06 label accepted in the market where you ride
  • A shell shape that matches your head, with firm pressure and no concentrated hot spots
  • A visor that seals evenly, operates with gloves and supports an anti-fog insert if needed
  • Replaceable cheek pads and a removable liner so fit and hygiene can be maintained
  • Vent controls you can operate in gloves and speaker recesses if you plan to add communication

Full-face helmet FAQ

Why choose a full-face motorcycle helmet?

It adds a fixed chin bar and face coverage to the crown, side and rear coverage provided by other road helmets.

Should a full-face helmet feel tight at first?

It should feel evenly snug because comfort padding beds in. Painful pressure at one point usually means the shell shape is wrong, not that you need a larger loose helmet.

Can I use a motocross helmet on the road?

Only where its certification is accepted for road use. Its peak, goggle opening and ventilation are designed for off-road riding and can be tiring at road speed.
