What accessories should I buy first for a new motorcycle?

Crash protection, then a screen matched to your height, then whichever of luggage, levers or a phone mount fixes the way you actually ride. Cosmetic parts last — they are the easiest to reverse before a sale.

How much do motorcycle accessories cost?

Frame sliders run $60 to $320, a screen $50 to $420, luggage $90 to $1,200 depending on whether you fit a tail bag or hard panniers, and electronics from $25 for a USB outlet to $900 for a quickshifter.

Do accessories fit any motorcycle?

Protection, luggage racks, screens and rearsets are model-specific because they bolt to model-specific mounting points. Grips, bar-end sliders, phone mounts and hand guards are usually sized by bar diameter instead.

Will accessories void my warranty?

Bolt-on parts normally do not, but anything that changes fuelling, emissions or ECU mapping can affect the related warranty claim. Keep the original parts so the bike can be returned to standard.
