Typical market bands for a complete kit in USD.
| Part | Budget | Typical | Premium |
|---|---|---|---|
| OEM panels (per panel) | $120 | $320 | $900 |
| Injection-moulded ABS kit, painted | $380 | $620 | $1,100 |
| Injection-moulded ABS kit, unpainted | $260 | $400 | $700 |
| Race bodywork (fibreglass) | $450 | $800 | $1,500 |
| Carbon fibre panels | $300 | $900 | $2,600 |
| Compression-moulded copy panels | $180 | $300 | $520 |
A complete painted injection-moulded ABS kit usually runs $380 to $1,100, with about $620 typical. Unpainted kits start near $260. Factory panels bought one at a time are the expensive route — a single upper fairing can cost more than a whole aftermarket kit.
Injection moulding uses high pressure, giving consistent thickness and panel gaps close to factory. Compression-moulded copies are cheaper but thicker and less consistent, so expect gaps, flexing tabs and some drilling.
Most complete kits ship painted and clear-coated in a chosen scheme. The match to a factory paint code is close rather than exact, which matters if you are replacing only part of the bodywork.
Only inside the same generation. Frame and subframe mounting points change between generations, so a kit for a later refresh will not line up.
Usually not as supplied. Race bodywork deletes headlight and indicator apertures and uses quick-release fasteners, so it is sold for track use.
