How to replace fork seals
1. Support the front
Take the weight off the front wheel, then remove the caliper, wheel, mudguard and clamp bolts.
2. Drop the legs
Slide each fork leg out of the yokes, keeping the leg upright to hold the oil.
3. Strip and clean
Remove the dust seal, circlip and oil seal, then clean the stanchion and inspect for pitting.
4. Fit new seals
Drive the new oil seal square with a seal driver, refit the circlip and dust seal.
5. Refill oil
Pour in the specified weight and set the air gap by measurement, not by volume alone.
6. Reassemble and set sag
Refit the legs at equal height, torque clamps to spec and re-set static and rider sag.
